As I have not written anything here for a while, I thought I would give everybody an update. Before Christmas I was in deep pre-production to the wonderful film, that is now under production, The House, and this occupied every minute of my day. It was eciting and quite scary, since we had no money and everything had to be arranged on a really low-budget, but this was not something new for me.
On Christmas Eve, the unthinkable happen. I had a really restless night leading up to it, and had been really tired. My back and groin hurt like hell and I had a raging fever. I was rushed to the hospital and there they feared a hernia or an abscess, but luckily it was just an infection. This put me out of commission and I had to do something I really did not want to do, and that was to resign from the production team for my first feature film. I was really low and felt like I had lost my chance, but I am surrounded by good people and colleagues, all of who got in touch with me and backed me up.
During my time on the sidelines, I have come to this conclusion: Never give up, never surrender… For those who do not get the joke, watch Galaxy Quest.
I have gotten a lot of inspiration and I have read a lot. I’m still not 100 %, but I will soon publish a new chapter in Ismark and I will continue writing.
